The Brief
A young couple wanted to bring the outdoors into their high-rise apartment. They requested a design that felt organic, relaxed, and suitable for both remote work and entertaining.
The Challenge
Typical high-rise apartments lack character and connection to nature. The challenge was to create a 'verandah' feel within the constraints of a modern flat.
Our Response
We demolished a non-load-bearing wall to integrate the balcony with the living space, using sliding glass doors to blur the boundary. Generous use of cane, indoor plants, and natural fibers brought the requested organic warmth.
The Result
An airy, light-filled home that feels like a tropical retreat in the sky, proving that high-rise living doesn't mean sacrificing a connection to nature.
